The Arcadia Rodeo…the “Granddaddy of Em All” …comes to Mosaic Arena this weekend. For 95 years, the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo has hosted the World’s Top Athletes in PRCA Rodeo to compete for a chance to make it to the national finals in Las Vegas
Professional cowboys and cowgirls from all over the U.S. compete in bronc riding, roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The Rodeo boasts the best bulls and broncs east of the Mississippi. Children ages 4 to 6 can compete in the Mutton Bustin. Gates open at 11:00 p.m.. Quadrille performs at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Mutton Bustin. Rodeo action starts at 2:00 p.m.
Arcadia Police Department wants to remind all that the Rodeo at the Mosaic Arena on Turner and Gibson streets. These roads will see a high volume of traffic between the hours of 11:00 am until approximately 6:00 pm from Thursday through Sunday, March 9th – 12th. Local residents are encouraged to avoid these areas unless you plan to attend the Rodeo.
