A HOLLYWOOD MAN WAS ARRESTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT AFTER HE TOOK AUTHORITIES ON A HIGH SPEED CHASE THROUGH THREE COUNTIES.  DEPUTIES SAY THEY WERE CONTACTED BY STATE TROOPERS JUST AFTER 6:30PM WEDNESDAY THAT A 2004 ACURA WAS HEADING NORTH ON THE INTERSTATE AT SPEEDS OF UP TO 145 MILES PER HOUR THROUGH COLLIER COUNTY.  THE CAR SPED NORTH AS IT WAS BEING FOLLOWED BY A LEE COUNTY CHOPPER, FINALLY STOPPING NEAR THE RAMPART BOULEVARD OVERPASS IN PORT CHARLOTTE.  AT THAT TIME THE DRIVER, 30 YEAR OLD RALPH ROSADO TRIED TO RUN BUT WAS TACKLED BY A DEPUTY.  ROSADO REFUSED TO FOLLOW ORDERS AND THE DEPUTY THREATENED TO TASER HIM, BUT HE COULDN’T REACH HIS GUN DURING THE STRUGGLE AND LET THE MAN GO SINCE THEY WERE SO CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY.  ROSADO TRIED TO RUN AND THE DEPUTY FIRED HIS TASER, HITTING HIM WITH ONE PRONG.  THE DEPUTY THEN TACKLED ROSADO AGAIN AND HIT HIM WITH A SECOND STUN WHICH ALLOWED HIM TO PUT HANDCUFFS ON.  ROSADO WAS TAKEN FIRST TO CHARLOTTE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, WHERE HE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED.  THEN HE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL AND BOOKED ON CHARGES OF RESISTING AN OFFICER WITH VIOLENCE.  FHP CHARGED HIM WITH FLEEING TO ELUDE AND RECKLESS DRIVING.  HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL.
