On Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 43rd Annual Christmas Parade. The parade will be leaving the Charlotte Performing Arts Center at 12:00 p.m. and will be traveling west on Carmalita Street then north on Taylor Road to the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. There will be traffic delays during the parade, so please avoid the area if driving or come join the celebration
Also today is Family Fun Day! Don’t forget to come and see us and enjoy the day with your family here at the Punta Gorda Public Safety Building located at 1410 Tamiami Tr. in Punta Gorda. The event time is 11a-3p. The event will be in the back parking lot. Games, snow cones, cotton candy, bounce houses, a dunk tank, K9 demonstrations, spray a firehose with firefighters, child safety ID kits, free bike helmets for the kids and hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. We even heard that we may get a visit from Santa Claus himself. Come and spend some family time at this free event.
