A Message From DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office
To all of DeSoto County:
Our #TeamDCSO law enforcement and detention deputies are out working this morning in the aftermath of #HurricaneMilton. We understand that many of you are still without power, traffic lights are down, trees and powerlines are blocking roads, and several areas remain flooded.
Our deputies resumed responding to calls shortly after 1:00 AM, and this morning, we’re assessing the entire county to ensure your safety. For now, we strongly advise everyone to stay home or sheltered in place while crews work to clear the roads and restore services.
We know this is a challenging and emotional time as many are dealing with power outages and home damages. Please know we are here for you and will be with you through every step of the recovery process. Be Kind, Be Safe.
