The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division (CID) went above and beyond by assisting the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office to execute a search warrant, leading to the apprehension of a fugitive. Cameron Lee Rios, a DeSoto County resident had an out-of-county warrant for Attempted Murder and Improper Exhibition of a Dangerous Weapon.
Our CID detectives tracked down Rios at his workplace, swiftly taking him into custody, and transporting him to the DeSoto County Jail. Our detectives demonstrated their dedication by executing additional search warrants on Rios’s residence and a reported vehicle, gathering crucial evidence to further strengthen the case against him.
