Another successful bust by our dedicated #TeamDCSO! On March 21, 2024, Sergeant Bierman and K9 Lucy sprang into action during a routine traffic stop at Highway 72 and Highway 70. With Lucy’s keen nose leading the way, they uncovered meth, marijuana and clonazepam pills hidden in the vehicle driven by Brandy Leigh Bemis. She was arrested and transported to DeSoto County Jail, facing charges including Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Since the arrest, Bemis has been released by the courts.
