A SARASOTA MAN IS BEHIND BARS AFTER ALLEGEDLY ATTACKING HIS ROOMMATE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY AN ARGUMENT ENSUED BETWEEN 31 YEAR OLD JUDSON BOATWRIGHT AND THE 71 YEAR OLD ROOMMATE HE SHARES A PLACE WITH ON BEACON DRIVE IN SARASOTA JUST AFTER 1AM SUNDAY.  BOATWRIGHT PULLED OUT A SHARP OBJECT DURING THE TUSSLE AND SLASHED AND STABBED THE VICTIM CAUSING FACIAL LACERATIONS AND OTHER WOUNDS.  THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO SARASOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS REPORTEDLY IN STABLE CONDITION WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.  BOATWRIGHT THEN FLED THE SCENE, BUT DEPUTIES CAUGHT UP WITH HIM A SHORT TIME LATER AND TOOK HIM INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT.  HE WAS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED BATTERY AND IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL.
