MAN ARRESTED IN JEWELRY STORE BURGLARY

AN ENGLEWOOD MAN WAS ARRESTED TODAY AFTER A LOCAL PAWN BROKER NOTICED HE WAS TRYING TO PAWN ITEMS STOLEN DURING A ROBBERY EARLIER THIS WEEK.  SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY 22 YEAR OLD MICAH BURCH WAS THE MAN THAT BROKE INTO THE DEARBORN STREET JEWELRY STORE JUST AFTER 12:30 MONDAY MORNING BY SLITHERING THROUGH AN AIR CONDITIONING DUCT.  HE ALSO SPRAY PAINTED OVER TWO CAMERAS, BUT TWO OTHERS CAUGHT HIM TAKING JEWELRY AND COINS DESPITE HIM HAVING A HANDKERCHIEF OVER HIS FACE AND GLOVES ON HIS HANDS.  THE OWNER OF THE STORE ALERTED AREA PAWN SHOPS TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THE STOLEN LOOT, AND THE OWNER OF PARADISE PAWN ALERTED AUTHORITIES AFTER BURCH TRIED TO PAWN SOME ITEMS THERE.  DEPUTIES SAY MOST OF THE ITEMS TAKEN, OVER $130,000 DOLLARS WORTH, HAVE BEEN RECOVERED, AND BURCH WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF BURGLARY TO A STRUCTURE AND ONE COUNT OF DEALING IN STOLEN PROPERTY.  HE IS BEING HELD IN THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL.
