CHARLOTTE COUNTY NARCOTICS DETECTIVES CONDUCTED AN UNDERCOVER BUY AT A SERVICE STATION YESTERDAY.  DEPUTIES SAY THEY MET 47 YEAR OLD SYLVESTER CAMON IN THE PARKING LOT OF RAY’S BP AT 3666 TAMIAMI TRAIL IN PORT CHARLOTTE TO PURCHASE ABOUT THREE HUNDRED BUCKS WORTH OF CRACK COCAINE.  DURING THE TRANSACTION, CAMON REMOVED FROM HIS WAISTLINE A CLEAR PLASTIC BAGGIE WITH CONTAINED THE SUSPECTED CRACK.  THE DETECTIVE THEN HANDED CAMON $300 AND HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY.  DETECTIVES CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS NINE-TENTHS OF A OUNCE OF CRACK, AND CAMON WAS CHARGED WITH TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION.  HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL AS THIS IS HIS FIFTEENTH BOOKING SINCE 2000, MOSTLY FOR DRUGS.
