SHARE NOW

AN ENGLEWOOD MAN WAS ARRESTED EARLY THIS MORNING AFTER BEING CAUGHT STEALING FROM A CAR IN THE PARKING LOT OF JUNIOR’S LOUNGE.  A DEPUTY WAS WAIVED DOWN BY TWO WOMEN WHO SAID A MAN IN A BUCS JERSEY AND A BASEBALL CAP HAD JUST BROKEN INTO THEIR VEHICLE AND STOLE MONEY.  ONE OF THE WOMEN SAID SHE HAD SEEN THE MAN, 23 YEAR OLD BRUCE LAYENDECKER AS SHE WENT TO HER CAR, AND WHEN SHE SAW HIM AGAIN SHE CONFRONTED HIM ABOUT THE MISSING MONEY.  HE DENIED HE’D TAKEN IT AND RAN BEHIND THE BAR.  A CANINE WAS BROUGHT IN AND TRACKED TO THE 2400 BLOCK OF OYSTER CREEK DRIVE.  LAYENDECKER WAS FOUND HIDING UNDER A JEEP CHEROKEE AND THE WAD OF MONEY WAS IN THE WHEEL.  HE DENIED TAKING IT AT FIRST, BUT LATER CONFESSED TO OFFICERS AND THE WOMEN.  HE WAS CHARGED WITH BURGLARY TO A CONVEYANCE AND PETIT THEFT.  HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL BECAUSE OF HIS CRIMINAL HISTORY AS THIS IS HIS 13TH BOOKING SINCE 2000.
