AN ENGLEWOOD MAN IS BEHIND BARS AFTER GOING ON A CRIME SPREE EARLY THIS MORNING.  SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY A RESIDENT CALLED THEM JUST BEFORE 12:30AM TO SAY HE SAW 24 YEAR OLD JOSHUA CLARK INSIDE HIS NEIGHBOR’S VEHICLE ON KEYWAY COURT IN OVERBROOK GARDENS.  THE WITNESS THEN SAID THE MAN GOT ONTO A BICYCLE WESTBOUND ON KEYWAY COURT.  DEPUTIES CAUGHT UP TO CLARK AS HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER ANOTHER VEHICLE ON KEYWAY DRIVE.  AS DEPUTIES APPROACHED AND IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES, CLARK RAN AWAY INTO A NEARBY MOBILE HOME PARK.  A SHERIFF’S HELICOPTER LOCATED CLARK AND DIRECTED DEPUTIES TO HIS LOCATION WHERE HE WAS FOUND HIDING UNDER A CAR ON PAGO PAGO LANE.    THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED HE HAD ENTERED FOUR VEHICLES, STOLE A BICYCLE, AND DID ABOUT $300 DAMAGE TO A FENCE ON KEYWAY DRIVE.  THREE WITNESSES WERE BROUGHT TO WHERE CLARK WAS AND POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED HIM.  HE WAS TAKEN TO FIRST TO THE VENICE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER FOR THE TREATMENT OF INJURIES SUFFERED IN THE CHASE.  HE THEN WAS ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES, INCLUDING FIVE COUNTS OF BURGLARY, RESISTING ARREST WITHOUT VIOLENCE, AND POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS.  HE IS BEING HELD ON OVER $30,000 BOND IN THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL.
