ONE MAN WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED AFTER HE FLIPPED HIS PICK-UP TRUCK ON THE MEDIAN OF THE INTERSTATE SUNDAY MORNING. THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 31 YEAR OLD DANIEL BERNSTEIN OF LAND O’ LAKES WAS SOUTHBOUND NEAR MILE MARKER 190 JUST BEFORE 10AM WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF HIS 1989 FORD F-150 AND DRIFTED INTO THE RIGHT TRAVEL LANE AND SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY. BERNSTEIN THEN OVER-STEERED TO THE LEFT WHILE TRAVELING OFF THE ROADWAY AND ONTO THE EAST SHOULDER OF THE INTERSTATE. THE TRUCK OVERTURNED TWICE BEFORE COMING TO REST ON ITS TOP FACING WEST ON THE EAST SHOULDER. BERNSTEIN, WHO WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT, WAS BAYFLITED TO BAYFRONT MEDICAL CENTER IN ST. PETERSBURG IN SERIOUS CONDITION. TROOPERS SAY ALCOHOL WAS NOT A FACTOR AND CHARGES ARE PENDING THE COMPLETION OF THEIR INVESTIGATION.
