AUTHORITIES HAVE OFFICIALLY IDENTIFIED THE MAN KILLED WHEN AN ANTIQUE CAR HIT HIM AT A CAR SHOW LAST WEEKEND.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 79 YEAR OLD GERALD NEUMAN WAS THE MAN STANDING NEXT TO HIS BICYCLE WHEN HE WAS HIT BY A 1965 COBRA DRIVEN BY 69 YEAR OLD GEOFFREY OLDER OF SARASOTA IN FRONT OF THE ENGLEWOOD ELKS LODGE LAST SUNDAY.  WITNESSES HAVE TOLD AUTHORITIES THAT OLDER REVVED HIS ENGINE SHORTLY BEFORE HIS COBRA JUMPED THE CURB AND STRUCK NEUMAN WHICH PINNED HIM AGAINST A UTILITY POLE.  IT TOOK AUTHORITIES NEARLY A WEEK TO CONTACT NEUMAN’S NEXT OF KIN IN GERMANY.  CHARGES ARE STILL PENDING AGAINST OLDER AS TROOPERS COMPLETE THEIR INVESTIGATION.
