CHARLOTTE COUNTY DETECTIVES ARE INVESTIGATING AN INCIDENT WHEN A MAN FLASHED A BADGE AND TOOK A WOMAN’S PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. DEPUTIES SAY THE VICTIM HAD JUST PURCHASED ROXICODONE PILLS AT A PHARMACY ON OLEAN BOULEVARD AT AROUND 4PM MONDAY AND DROVE TO A GAS STATION. THE BOYFRIEND WENT INSIDE THE STORE WHEN AN UNKNOWN WHITE MAN DROVE UP IN AN OLDER MODEL WHITE FOUR DOOR CHEVY. HE FLASHED THE BADGE WITH A GOLD STAR AND IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS A CHARLOTTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICER. HE SAID HE SAW HER COME OUT OF THE PHARMACY AND WANTED TO VERIFY HER PRESCRIPTION. HE THEN TOOK THE PACKAGE, GOT BACK IN HIS CAR AND DROVE OFF. HE IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MAN IN HIS LATER FORTIES, SIX FEET TALL WITH A SLIM BUILD. HE HAD DARK BROWN OR BLACK HAIR, A BLACK MUSTACHE, AND WAS WEARING A GREEN SHIRT AND BLUE JEANS.
