A PORT CHARLOTTE MAN IS BEHIND BARS AFTER RETURNING TO THE SCENE OF HIS FRIDAY CRIME AND APOLOGIZING TO THE WOMAN HE ACCOSTED.  DEPTUIES SAY THE 36 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO LIVES ALONE CALLED THEM AROUND 1AM FRIDAY AFTER SHE AWOKE TO AN UNKNOWN MAN IN HER BEDROOM TOUCHING HER WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING.  SHE SAID SHE CONFRONTED THE MAN, LATER IDENTIFIED AS 26 YEAR OLD SALVATORE PASCUCCI, BUT HE FLED THE HOME.  LATER FRIDAY AFTERNOON, THE VICTIM WAS SITTING ON THE FRONT PORCH WITH A COUPLE OF HER RELATIVES WHEN PASCUCCI WALKED UP TO THEM AND SAID HE WANTED TO APOLOGIZE TO THE VICTIM.  SHE RAN INTO THE HOUSE SCARED AND CALLED 9-1-1.  DEPUTIES ARRIVED AND TOOK PASCUCCI INTO CUSTODY.  HE SAID HE THOUGHT THE WOMAN WAS PRETTY AND WANTED TO BE HER BOYFRIEND, ALTHOUGH HE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HER NAME.  PASCUCCI WAS CHARGED WITH BURGLARY TO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING WITH BATTERY.  HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE CRIME AND HIS CRIMINAL HISTORY.
