SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES ARE LOOKING FOR A MAN WHO ROBBED A SERVICE STATION AT KNIFEPOINT LAST NIGHT. DEPUTIES WERE CALLED TO THE BP/SAVE ON GAS STATION ON STICKNEY POINT ROAD JUST AFTER 9:15PM. THE CLERK TOLD THEM THE SUSPECT ENTERED THE BUSINESS ARMED WITH A POCKETKNIFE, AND AFTER THREATENING THE CLERK HE TOOK MONEY FROM THE CASH REGISTER AND FLED SOUTHBOUND ON GATEWAY AVENUE. A SEARCH OF THE AREA CAME UP EMPTY. HE IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MAN, FIVE FEET NINE INCHES TALL, ABOUT 135 POUNDS, AND HE WAS WEARING A BLACK SWEATSHIRT THAT WAS INSIDE OUT, BAGGIE JEANS, BLACK TENNIS SHOES, AND HE HAD EITHER A STOCKING OR SPANDEX OVER HIS HEAD.
