THE SARASOTA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INTENDS TO EXTRADITE A FORMER SARASOTA MAN ARRESTED IN TENNESSEE BACK TO SARASOTA TO FACE CHARGES FOR SEXUAL BATTERY ON A CHILD YOUNGER THAN 12. A PUBLISHED REPORT SAYS FORTY YEAR OLD EDWARD LEE NEFF WAS WANTED FOR FONDLING A GIRL AGAINST HER WILL IN MAY 2009. NEFF WAS ARRESTED IN CLIFTON, TN ON SATURDAY ON A CONTEMPT CHARGE FOR PRIOR VIOLATION OF DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE. HE IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD IN A TENNESSEE JAIL WITHOUT BOND.
