LEMON BAY HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCED WEDNESDAY THE HIRING OF MICHAEL MASSARI TO LEAD THE THEATER DEPARTMENT THERE.  MASSARI HAS AN EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND, INCLUDING PARTS IN THE MOVIES DREAMS AWAKE AND OPEN SECRET, AND HAS APPEARED IN TELEVISION SHOWS AS WELL.  MASSARI WAS BORN IN PENNSYLVANIA AND STUDIED AT THE FAMED UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON AT SEATTLE, WHERE HE OBTAINED MASTERS DEGREES IN THEOLOGY AND ACTING.  MASSARI SAYS THAT WHILE IT’S LATE IN THE SCHOOL YEAR, THEY ARE PLANNING TO DO A SHOW.  “WE’VE CHOSEN A RATHER SIMPLE SHOW THAT WAS ON BROADWAY JUST TWO YEARS AGO,” SAID MASSARI.  “THE SHOW IS CALLED THIRTEEN WRITTEN BY JASON ROBERT BROWN.  IT WAS THE ONLY SHOW EVER ON BROADWAY THAT WAS COMPLETELY A TEENAGE CAST.”  MASSARI REPLACES JENNIFER KELLY, WHO RESIGNED AFTER BEING SUSPENDED IN NOVEMBER FOR PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT ISSUES.  MASSARI SAYS HE FEELS FOR THE KIDS SINCE THEY’VE LACKED LEADERSHIP SINCE THEN, BUT HE PLANS TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING ONCE THEY RETURN FROM SPRING BREAK, WHICH STARTS TOMORROW AND RUNS THROUGH MARCH 20TH.  MASSARI HAS A WIFE AMY AND TWO YOUNG CHILDREN JESSE AND CALEB.
