11:00 a.m. – Veterans Day Ceremony

  • Quilts of Valor Presentation: Peace River Quilter’s Guild will honor six veterans with special Quilts of Valor.
  • Guest Speaker: Admiral Lawrence Chambers, U.S. Navy (Retired), known for his leadership as the first African American officer in multiple high-ranking roles, including his command of the USS Midway during the Saigon evacuation.

Afternoon Events

  • 12:00-2:00 p.m.: Huey Helicopter cockpit tours on the front lawn.
  • 12:00-3:00 p.m.: Ham Radio Station at the P-51 Club.
  • 12:00-1:30 p.m.: Free hot dog lunch for the first 100 guests.
