A VENICE WOMAN WAS ARRESTED WEDNESDAY AFTER AN INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT HER 18 MONTH OLD SON HAD BEEN COVERED WITH PURE BLEACH, CHLORINE, AND POOL SHOCK CHEMICALS THAT CAN CAUSE THIRD DEGREE BURNS.  PUBLISHED REPORTS SAY AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN TO THE HOME OF 38 YEAR OLD SANDRA FREEMAN A TOTAL OF 27 TIMES SINCE SHE MOVED HERE FROM MICHIGAN IN 2008 IN REFERENCE TO CHILD ABUSE COMPLAINTS.  THE LATEST INVESTIGATION BEGAN ON MONDAY AFTER A CALL WAS PLACED TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ABUSE HOTLINE.  THE ARREST REPORT SAYS FAMILY MEMBERS TOLD OF FREEMAN ABUSING PILLS AND HER BEHAVIOR HAD BECOME EXTREMELY BIZARRE AND DANGEROUS.  TWO OF FREEMAN’S CHILDREN ALSO TOLD DETECTIVES THEY WERE FORCED TO JUMP IN THE FAMILY POOL IMMEDIATELY AFTER FREEMAN TREATED IT WITH LARGE AMOUNTS OF BLEACH AND CHLORINE IN ORDER TO CLEANSE THEMSELVES.  ALSO, THE BABY’S FATHER WHO DOES NOT LIVE AT THE HOME REPORTED THAT WHEN HE HAS PICKED UP THE CHILD FOR VISITATION IT WAS COVERED IN RASHES AND HAD BLISTERS ON HIS FEET.  FREEMAN WAS CHARGED WITH THREE FELONY COUNTS OF CHILD ABUSE.  SHE REMAINS IN THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL WITHOUT BOND.
