DeSoto County – National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 18th-24th, 2020.
Sheriff James F. Potter and the staff at the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office would like to help raise awareness as traffic crashes are the leading cause of death among teens.
The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is always seeking solutions to prevent teen injuries and deaths on the road.
Some tried and true methods are: wearing your seatbelt, driving the speed limit, and looking both ways before entering a roadway – even if the light is green!
In addition to these great tips we also want the parents and caregivers of “Teen Drivers” to know we have the “Teen Driver Challenge” which is hosted by DCSO to give our teen drivers the driving skills to be safer on our roads.
Be kind and be safe, DeSoto!
