A never before seen photo of Gabby Petito has been released by Attorneys for Gabby Petito’s family. The photo shows blood and marks on her face. The photo was taken by Petito herself shortly before the police stopped the couple in Utah. The photo was recently recovered from her phone, according to the law firm.
The law firm Parker & McConkie first disclosed the existence of the photo in a November 2022. Gabby’s family has launched a wrongful death lawsuit against the Moab City Police Department. The police questioned the couple on Aug. 12, 2021, after a witness reported seeing Laundrie hitting Petito and trying to take her phone and drive off without her outside a local organic food store.
It is alleged that she showed the photo to the Moab Police officer. The family attorney is claiming that allegedly she showed the injury to Moab Police Officer Eric Pratt, and said he did nothing to help her.
Gabby Petito is believed to have been strangled and bludgeoned to death by Laundrie in Wyoming – where her remains were found on Sept. 18.
Brian Laundrie committed suicided with a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His body was discovered in reserve in Sarasota County Florida Oct. 20. A handwritten confession to Petito’s death was found nearby.
