On October 9, 2023, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving a pregnant minor On October 9, 2023, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving a pregnant minor who alleged she was raped back in May 2023. The DCSO Criminal Investigative Division detectives investigated the case, involving several interviews with the individual who was raped.
After further investigation, our detectives determined the primary suspect involved in the incident was identified as Milton Antonio Cruz-Espinoza. On October 12, 2023, an arrest warrant was obtained for Milton. He was located during a traffic stop and taken into custody due to the warrant, and is now facing the following charges:
– Two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery
– One count of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation
– Subject over 21 impregnating a child under 16 years old
