THE SARASOTA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAS NAMED 47 YEAR OLD JOHN LEE AS A PERSON OF INTEREST IN CONNECTION WITH THE DOUBLE MURDER THAT OCCURRED MONDAY NIGHT.  DEPUTIES ARRESTED LEE AT A HOME IN THE 800 BLOCK OF EAST 7TH AVENUE IN ENGLEWOOD WITH AN ASSIST FROM CHARLOTTE COUNTY WARRANT DEPUTIES TUESDAY AFTERNOON.  LEE WAS ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING THE NO CONTACT PROVISION OF THE PRE-TRIAL RELEASE CONDITIONS OF HIS ARREST LAST WEEK FOR DOMESTIC BATTERY AGAINST 39 YEAR OLD TRACY NABERGAIL AND BATTERY AGAINST 46 YEAR OLD JASON SALTER.  BOTH WERE FOUND DEAD IN SALTER’S HOME ON PARK ROAD IN SOUTH VENICE JUST AFTER 8PM MONDAY.  THE PROBABLE CAUSE AFFIDAVIT SAYS THAT LEE AND NABERGAIL WERE ENGAGED AND GOT INTO AN ALTERCATION AT THEIR HOME LAST WEDNESDAY IN WHICH LEE ALLEGEDLY GRABBED NABERGAIL BY THE THROAT AND SLAMMED HER AGAINST THE WALL.  LEE THEN WALKED TO SALTER’S HOME AND PUNCHED HIM IN THE ABDOMEN AREA AND THREW HIM AGAINST THE SINK.  LEE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL PENDING TRANSFER TO SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL.  DEPUTIES SAY THE MURDER INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.
