DIVERS WILL SWIM DOWN TO THE FUSELAGE OF A SMALL PLANE THAT CRASHED OFF OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH LAST NIGHT.  THE COAST GUARD HAD RECEIVED A REPORT THAT A CESSNA 172 SKYHAWK WAS SEEN SPIRALING TOWARDS THE SEA ABOUT A HUNDRED AND FIFTY YARDS FROM THE BEACH.  WRECKAGE FROM THE PLANE HAS BEGUN TO WASH ASHORE THIS MORNING.  FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION SPOKESPERSON KATHLEEN BERGEN SAID PRELIMINARY INFORMATION INDICATED THAT TWO PEOPLE WERE ABOARD THE PLANE, WHICH WAS FLYING FROM SARASOTA TO DAYTONA BEACH.  IT’S FEARED THAT THEY DID NOT SURVIVE THE CRASH.
