CHARLOTTE COUNTY MAJOR CRIMES DETECTIVES SAY THEY’VE EXHAUSTED ALL LEADS IN A POSSIBLE CHILD ABDUCTION CASE IN PORT CHARLOTTE.  A 911 CALLER TOLD AUTHORITIES THAT A CHILD BETWEEN THE AGES OF SIX AND EIGHT WAS TAKEN INTO AN OLDER MODEL SEDAN NEAR NEAL ARMSTRONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT AROUND 7:30 MONDAY MORNING.  THE CALLER SAID THE DRIVER WAS A WHITE MAN WITH GRAY HAIR, AND A BLACK MAN GOT OUT OF THE TAN SEDAN AND SHOWED THE CHILD A PIECE OF PAPER.  HE THEN TOOK THE CHILD BY THE HAND AND LED HIM INTO THE CAR.  THE CALLER SAID THE CHILD RESISTED BUT GOT IN ANYWAY.  DETECTIVES SAY THERE HAVE BEEN NO MISSING CHILD REPORTS FILED, HOWEVER THE CASE REMAINS OPEN PENDING ANY FURTHER INFORMATION THAT THEY MIGHT RECEIVE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT, YOU ARE ASKED TO CALL THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 639-2101, OR YOU CAN LEAVE ANONYMOUS INFORMATION WITH CRIME STOPPERS TOLL FREE AT 800-780-TIPS (8477).
