Punta Gorda Police are warning residents to be aware of this attempted scam. The Police Department has received a couple calls in the last few days regarding residents returning phone calls. The residents state that they missed a call from the Punta Gorda Police Department phone #. These are attempted scams so please ensure that you are actually speaking to a department member and never give any personal information over the phone or supply any credit card or banking information.
