Punta Gorda’s Beloved Christmas Boat Parade Returns December 21
Mark your calendars! The highly anticipated Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade, the biggest annual event in Punta Gorda Isles, sets sail on December 21, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Rain or shine, this festive tradition, hosted by the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association, promises an unforgettable evening for the community.
All Boaters Welcome
Registration is open to all boaters near and far. If you haven’t received your email confirmation, make sure to re-register. The event organizers encourage participants to embrace the holiday spirit: “The best way to see the parade is to be in the parade!”

This isn’t just another lighted boat parade. The Punta Gorda event is renowned for its unique design and welcoming atmosphere.
- Easy Navigation: A straightforward, bridgeless, four-mile route with no two-way traffic or sharp turns ensures smooth sailing.
- Spectator-Friendly: Crowds gather just 50 feet away, creating a close and lively atmosphere filled with cheers, carolers, and performers.
- Protected Waters: Boaters can enjoy the calm PGI canal system without worrying about winds or tides.
- Docking Made Simple: Free dock space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing participants to drop off boats ahead of time.

This commercial-free event is a gift to the community, from the community. With no political or commercial entries, the focus remains on spreading holiday cheer. Thanks to robust participation, it stands as the Gulf Coast’s most popular Christmas boat parade.
