Report Of Suspicious Activity Yields Arrest

DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department:
A search warrant was issued on Friday, July 15, 2022, for an apartment located at Oaks Trail Apartments. During the search warrant, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Criminal Investigations Division found numerous items identified as stolen property from recent vehicle burglaries within DeSoto County, including burglaries being actively worked by the Arcadia Police Department (APD). After a thorough investigation by DeSoto County Detectives, numerous open vehicle burglary cases within DCSO and APD were closed by ARREST.
The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Oaks Trail Maintenance for being part of “Team DeSoto” and calling in suspicious activity. Because of their tip, DCSO was able to identify, locate, and arrest Stephon Edwards and Jazmine Jones on 12 counts each of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance and seven (7) counts each of Felony Petit Theft.
