THE RESULTS ARE IN FROM TWO CHARLOTTE COUNTY OPERATIONS FROM OVER THE WEEKEND.  ON SATURDAY, THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY MARINE PATROL, WITH AN ASSIST FROM THE FLORIDA FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION, STOPPED 86 VESSELS IN THE ENGLEWOOD/BOCA GRANDE WATERS TO CONDUCT SAFETY INSPECTIONS.  THERE WERE 37 WARNINGS ISSUED ALONG WITH 6 CITATIONS AND 3 ARRESTS FOR BOATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.  THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE ALSO CONDUCTED I-75 TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT FROM 2-10PM ON SATURDAY WHERE THEY MADE 52 TRAFFIC STOPS.  THERE WERE 51 WARNINGS ISSUED ALONG WITH 18 TRAFFIC CITATIONS, 16 CONSENT SEARCHES, AND 2 CANINE SNIFFS.  DEPUTIES MADE 8 MISDEMEANOR AND 4 FELONY ARRESTS FOR THINGS SUCH AS DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED OR REVOKED LICENSE WITH KNOWLEDGE, DRIVING WITH AN EXPIRED LICENSE, DRIVING AN UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, AND THEY MADE 1 DUI ARREST.
