DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tavarus Treon Dennis for sexual battery on a minor. After thoroughly investigating, DCSO Criminal Investigative Division Detective Santana learned Dennis was engaging in sexual battery acts involving SEVERAL other underage individuals in DeSoto County over the last DECADE!
Detective Santana has been investigating this case since May 28, 2023, and confirms this is the third time Dennis has been arrested for the same offense. Previously, he was arrested twice by Arcadia Police Department, but the charges were declined by the courts. Throughout the investigation, Dennis fled to Pasco County, where the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) investigators located him in Wesley Chapel. As of Wednesday, June 21, he has been extradited to DeSoto County jail.
