On November 14, 2023, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stolen travel trailer case at Riverside RV Resort. Thanks to dedicated detective work, our team made significant progress in the investigation.
After uncovering leads, our detectives traced the stolen trailer back to Charlotte County and identified Nichael Alisha Abell, who was already in custody for a similar offense. ???? Through thorough interviews Abell revealed her accomplice, Leann Sherri O’Halloran, in the trailer theft case.
On December 29, 2023, our team successfully located the stolen trailer in Englewood, marking a breakthrough in the case. Yesterday, the North Port Police Department arrested Leann, who had an active warrant for Grand Theft of Motor Vehicle, and she is now residing in the Sarasota County Jail.
Sheriff Potter commends the efforts of our detectives in recovering the stolen property, and working together with our local law enforcement agencies to bring her to justice!
