TEEN INJURED IN HOME INVASION ROBBERY

A SARASOTA TEEN WAS INJURED LATE LAST NIGHT AFTER TWO MEN BROKE INTO HER HOME.  SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY THEY WERE CALLED TO THE SPAHN STREET RESIDENCE AT AROUND 11PM AND THE 19 YEAR OLD VICTIM TOLD THEM SHE HEARD A NOISE AND WAS CONFRONTED BY TWO MEN WEARING MASKS.  ONE OF THE MEN HIT HER OVER THE HEAD WITH AN AK47 STYLE RIFLE, AND AFTER THEY TOOK MONEY FROM HER THEY FLED IN A DARK LOW RIDER TYPE SUV.  THE VICTIM RECEIVED TREATMENT FOR MINOR INJURIES AT DOCTOR’S HOSPITAL AND WAS ABLE TO GIVE SOME DESCRIPTION OF THE MEN.  THE FIRST WAS A LIGHT SKINNED BLACK MAN, SIX FEET TALL, ABOUT 180 POUNDS.  HE MAY HAVE HAD A SMALL MUSTACHE AND WAS WEARING BLACK BAGGIE CLOTHES.  THE SECOND SUSPECT IS A MAN OF UNKNOWN RACE WHO WAS ALSO WEARING DARK BAGGIE CLOTHES.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION SHOULD CALL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS OF THE SARASOTA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 861-4900, OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 366-TIPS.
