CHARLOTTE COUNTY NARCOTICS DETECTIVES ARRESTED TWO PEOPLE AND SEIZED A CAR AFTER AN UNDERCOVER PURCHASE OF XANAX PILLS IN PORT CHARLOTTE.  DEPUTIES SAY 34 YEAR OLD PAUL CERCE AND 25 YEAR OLD MYRIAH MELTON, BOTH OF PUNTA GORDA, MET DETECTIVES IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE PROMINADES MALL IN PORT CHARLOTTE, WHICH IS THE HOME OF THE MID-COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.  ONCE THE PURCHASE OF THE FIFTY PILLS WAS COMPLETED ON TUESDAY, OTHER NARCOTICS UNITS MOVED IN AND MADE THE ARRESTS.  THEY WERE BOTH CHARGED WITH SALE AND DELIVERY OF XANAX AND POSSESSION OF XANAX.  MELTON WAS ADDITIONALLY CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.  SHE POSED BOND AND WAS RELEASED AFTER PROCESSING, WHILE CERCE REMAINS IN JAIL ON A $6000 DOLLARS BOND.  THE 2002 AUDI A4 THE TWO WERE IN WAS SEIZED FOR FOREFEITURE.
