TWO MEN FORCE BOY TO HELP THEM STEAL

TWO POMPANO BEACH MEN WERE ARRESTED SUNDAY AFTER THEY ALLEGEDLY FORCED A 9 YEAR OLD BOY TO HELP THEM STEAL MORE THAN $1500 DOLLARS WORTH OF STUFF FROM A MURDOCK STORE.  CHARLOTTE COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY THEY WERE CALLED TO THE WAL-MART ON MURDOCK CIRCLE AFTER 21 YEAR OLD PRINCE DESAMOURS AND 42 YEAR OLD ALPHONSO EDWARDS STUFFED MERCHANDISE INTO THEIR BACKPACKS AND RAN FROM THE STORE.  THEY WERE CAUGHT AFTER A SHORT FOOT CHASE IN THE PARKING LOT OF A NEARBY FURNITURE STORE.  A THIRD SUSPECT, LATER IDENTIFIED AS THE 9 YEAR OLD, WAS FOUND IN THE SAME AREA.  THE BOY TOLD DEPUTIES THAT EDWARDS FORCED HIM TO HELP LOAD ITEMS INTO HIS BOOK BAG, AND A STORE EMPLOYEE COOBERATED THE STORY SAYING THE BOY LOOKED CONFUSED AND INTIMIDATED AS SHE PASSED HIM IN AN AISLE.  THE CHILD REPORTEDLY CAME TO THE STORE ON HIS OWN LOOKING FOR HIS MOTHER, AND HIS FATHER IS KNOWN TO THE TWO MEN.  THEY WERE BOTH CHARGED WITH GRAND THEFT AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELIQUENCY OF A MINOR.  THEY BOTH REMAIN IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL ON BOND WHILE THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT THE INCIDENT.
