CHARLOTTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DETECTIVES ARRESTED TWO PORT CHARLOTTE TEENS AFTER THEY WERE CAUGHT CARHOPPING THREE VEHICLES EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.  A ROAD DEPUTY WAS FLAGGED DOWN BY A WOMAN OUTSIDE OF THE PORT CHARLOTTE BEACH COMPLEX ON HARBOR BOULEVARD AT AROUND 12:40AM, WHO SAID SHE FOLLOWED TWO BOYS WALKING AWAY FROM A HOME ACROSS FROM HER SINCLAIR STREET HOME NEAR THE PARK AREA.  THE DEPUTY CAUGHT UP TO 16 YEAR OLD LOGAN BOTTORFF AND 15 YEAR OLD MASON KUMKE, WHO TOLD HIM THEY WERE LOOKING FOR FRIENDS TO FISH AT THE BEACH PIER.  THE WOMAN RETURNED HOME TO FIND HER THREE UNLOCKED VEHICLES HAD BEEN ENTERED AND RUMMAGED THROUGH.  A CANINE TRACKED RIGHT TO THE BOYS, AND THEY ADMITTED TO ENTERING SEVERAL UNLOCKED VEHICLES ON SINCLAIR STREET.  THEY ALSO SAID THEY ENTERED AS MANY AS TWENTY UNLOCKED VEHICLES LAST WEEKEND.  BOTH BOYS WERE CHARGED WITH THREE FELONY COUNTS OF BURGLARY TO A CONVEYANCE.  THEY WERE RELEASED TO THEIR PARENTS AFTER PROCESSING, AND THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES WITH MORE CHARGES LIKELY TO FOLLOW.
