UF/IFAS Extension DeSoto Welcomes New Livestock & Small Farms Agent
After a long vacancy, the UF/IFAS Extension DeSoto County Office is excited to welcome Kendall Gill as the new Livestock and Small Farms Extension Agent.
A Charlotte County native, Kendall brings a strong background in agriculture, livestock, and food safety. She earned her degree from the University of Florida, where she was active in livestock evaluation and gained hands-on experience at the UF Meat Lab. Her previous role with USDA-FSIS focused on ensuring meat product safety across North Florida.
Now a DeSoto County resident, Kendall is passionate about supporting both large-scale livestock producers and small farm operations. Her goal is to blend agricultural expertise with community engagement to strengthen local programming and producer support.
