A VENICE MAN WAS FOUND DEAD INSIDE A BURNED OUT STORAGE UNIT. THE VENICE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A STRUCTURE FIRE AT THE VENICE WAREHOUSE COMPLEX ON SEABOARD AVENUE AT AROUND 9:30 TUESDAY MORNING. WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY FOUND A SMALL FIRE HAD ALREADY BURNED OUT IN THE UNIT, BUT THEY ALSO FOUND 49 YEAR OLD RUSSELL VANSELOW DEAD THERE. AUTHORITIES SAY THE DEATH APPEARS TO BE ACCIDENTAL, BUT THE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE WILL PERFORM AN AUTOPSY TO DETERMINE THE EXACT CAUSE OF DEATH. NO SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY WAS REPORTED IN THE AREA AROUND THE TIME OF THE FIRE.
