Watermelon Festival Returns to DeSoto County This Saturday with Music, Melons, and More!

ARCADIA, FL — April 12, 2025 — Get ready for a full day of family fun, fresh flavors, and high-energy entertainment as the DeSoto County Watermelon Festival returns Saturday, April 12 to the Turner Agri-Civic Center in Arcadia!

The all-day event kicks off at 2250 NE Roan St., bringing together everything Southwest Florida loves — live music, food trucks, classic car shows, pageants, contests, games, and of course, plenty of watermelon.

Music lovers can look forward to a stellar lineup featuring Nashville recording artist Jeff Bates, along with performances by Jake Murphy, Andy Purcell, and Jay Teller.

Festival favorites are back in full force, including the Watermelon Pageant, seed spitting and melon eating contests, and a CWA showcase. Families will find plenty to keep the kids smiling with laser tag, bumper balls, inflatables, and a mobile game truck.

One of the best parts? Parking is included with your admission ticket, making it easy to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
