AN ENGLEWOOD WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT IN TOWN LAST NIGHT. THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 56 YEAR OLD PATRICIA O’LEARY WAS EASTBOUND ON BEACH ROAD APPROACHING A STOPPED PICK-UP TRUCK AT SOUTH MCCALL ROAD THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 33 YEAR OLD STEVEN BURCHELL JR. OF ENGLEWOOD. O’LEARY FAILED TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF HER HONDA AND HIT A CURB BEFORE CAREENING INTO THE BACK OF THE PICK-UP. O’LEARY WAS TAKEN TO ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES, WHILE BURCHELL’S PASSANGER, 32 YEAR OLD KAREN HAZELTINE, WAS TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES AT THE SCENE. INVESTIGATORS CHARGED O’LEARY WITH DUI, DUI WITH PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND CARELESS DRIVING. THAT ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT AROUND 8:30 LAST NIGHT.
