A WOMAN WAS KILLED AND THE DRIVER OF A MOTORCYCLE WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT IN NOKOMIS SATURDAY EVENING.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 57 YEAR OLD BARRY ANDERSON OF PORT CHARLOTTE WAS SOUTHBOUND ON US 41 APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF ROBERTS ROAD AT AROUND 7PM SATURDAY WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF HIS HARLEY AND VEERED RIGHT FROM THE LEFT TO THE CENTER TRAVEL LANE.  THE MOTORCYCLE THEN OVERTURNED ONTO ITS RIGHT SIDE, THEN FLIPPED OVER ONTO ITS LEFT SIDE, EJECTING ANDERSON AND THROWING HIS WIFE AND PASSENGER, 51 YEAR OLD LUCINDA ANDERSON AIRBORNE.  THEY WERE BOTH TAKEN TO VENICE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER.  LUCINDA WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD A SHORT TIME LATER, WHILE BARRY IS REPORTEDLY IN SERIOUS CONDITION.  TROOPERS SAY THEY WILL AWAIT TEST RESULTS BEFORE DETERMINING IF ALCOHOL PLAYED A ROLE, AND CHARGES ARE PENDING THE COMPLETION OF THEIR INVESTIGATION.
