A SARASOTA WOMAN DIED AFTER SHE ROLLED HER VEHICLE OVER ON THE INTERSTATE EARLY MONDAY MORNING.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 68 YEAR OLD LINDA THORNTON WAS SOUTHBOUND ON I-75 IN THE OUTSIDE LANE NEAR MILE MARKER 187 JUST BEFORE 7AM WHEN SHE ALLOWED HER 1999 PONTIAC TRANS AM TO DRIFT ONTO THE PAVED EMERGENCY LANE, THEN THE GRASS SHOULDER.  IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET BACK ON THE HIGHWAY, OFFICIALS SAY THORNTON SPUN THE CAR OUT AND WENT INTO A DITCH WHERE IT OVERTURNED.  THE CAR ENDED UP OUT OF THE DITCH.  THORNTON, WHO WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE CAR, WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.  TROOPERS SAY SHE WAS WEARING HER SEATBELT AND ALCOHOL WAS NOT A FACTOR.
