WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN ENGLEWOOD MISHAP

AN ENGLEWOOD WOMAN WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT SATURDAY AFTERNOON.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 41 YEAR OLD MICHELLE KEASER WAS NORTHBOUND ON SOUTH MCCALL ROAD SOUTH OF BEACH ROAD IN THE RIGHT LANE JUST AFTER 2PM SATURDAY WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL OF HER OLDS AND COLLIDED WITH A CAR IN THE LEFT LANE THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 48 YEAR OLD BRIAN WHEWELL OF HOMOSASSA.  THE COLLISION CAUSED KEASER TO DRIVE OFF THE SHOULDER AND HIT A UTILITY POLE HEAD ON.  KEASER WAS AIRLIFTED TO LEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN SERIOUS CONDITION WHILE WHEWELL AND HIS WIFE LYN WERE NOT INJURED.  TROOPERS SAY ALCOHOL WAS NOT INVOLVED AND KEASER WAS SITED FOR CARELESS DRIVING.
