The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 0-4 for the first time since 2014 after a 17-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes for Green Bay, and the Packers improved to 2-2 despite turning the ball over twice in the fourth quarter.
Tampa Bay was without Baker Mayfield, who sat out with a dislocated thumb, so undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels made his first career start. He threw two interceptions, including one late that ended any hope of a comeback. Coach Todd Bowles also passed on a 65-yard field goal attempt on fourth down in the closing minutes, citing the wind, a decision that will be debated across the Suncoast this week.
Green Bay has its own worries. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper was carted off in the third quarter with an Achilles injury.
So here’s the question for Bucs fans from Bradenton to Venice: with Mayfield’s thumb still up in the air, who do you want under center next week?
