Nearly two years have passed since Caitlyn Sandt was reported missing from Bradenton in October 2024. She was just 18 at the time. Bradenton police are asking the public once again to come forward with information, and Detective Brian Gates says investigators still need more facts. Police believe someone who knows what happened to her and where she is has been watching from the sidelines. Her grandmother, Tina Nunes, describes the time since as a nightmare, one that keeps her awake at night.
Caitlyn is described as 5-foot-2, about 125 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, a scar between her eyes and a strawberry birthmark on her neck. According to Detective Gates, she frequented the 1400 block of 18th Street West in Bradenton. Her case has been entered into the FBI’s ViCAP missing-person database, which allows investigators to compare it against cases nationwide. Police have not confirmed whether foul play was involved and don’t know whether she remains in Florida.
Anyone with information can contact the Bradenton Police Department or submit a tip anonymously through Manatee County Crime Stoppers. Even a small detail, a remembered conversation, a familiar face in a familiar neighborhood, can help investigators piece together what happened.
