The Rays are playing in their first World Series, and St. Petersburg is making sure the whole city feels it. Central Avenue between 13th and 15th streets hosts block parties tonight and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, both running 4 to 8 p.m. right before first pitch. A watch party near Tropicana Field keeps the energy going for fans who want to stay close to the Trop.

The city also created limited-edition commemorative posters to mark the occasion. You can pick one up at The GreenHouse from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 or at the block parties while supplies last. Officials are encouraging businesses and residential buildings to light up in blue and yellow or display Rays support messages, and the St. Pete Pier is already illuminated in team colors.

Then the series comes home. The Rays host Game 3 at Tropicana Field on Monday, Oct. 26, with Game 4 on Oct. 27 and Game 5 on Oct. 28 if needed. All home games start at 8 p.m. Whether you’re a lifelong local, a snowbird just back for the season, or someone who only watches in October, this is a moment to share with your neighbors. So where will you be watching the Rays this weekend?
