Sarasota BMX Supercross is the center of the cycling world this weekend. The 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Cup runs Saturday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 1, and 216 riders representing 26 countries are already training at the Youth Athletic Complex to get ready for it.
The venue itself is worth the trip. Sarasota County calls it the nation’s oldest continuously operating BMX track, and a 2016 upgrade added amateur and supercross tracks with 5-meter and 8-meter ramps. That upgrade helped make the case for hosting elite racing, and the UCI now lists Sarasota as a stop on its 2026 World Cup calendar alongside cities around the globe.
For locals, this means a rare chance to watch world-class BMX racing without leaving the Suncoast. Expect crowds and heavier traffic near the fairgrounds and Youth Athletic Complex area both days, so plan a little extra time if you’re driving through. Concessions, viewing areas, and race-day details are best confirmed with Sarasota County ahead of time.
