If you caught Suncoast View on Thursday, the guest host behind the desk was no stranger to a stage. Justin Gomlak Greer spent 15 years on Broadway, performing in “Annie,” “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” “Anything Goes,” “Shrek the Musical” and “The Producers.” He trained at Carnegie Mellon, earned a master’s at NYU, and is an opera singer by training.
These days he’s director of education and community engagement at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, connecting local schools and neighborhoods to the arts. That role puts a Broadway resume to work for Gulf Coast students and families, from field trips to community programming at the bayfront hall.
