Florida International Air Show 2026: What to Know Before You Head to Punta Gorda Airport

The Florida International Air Show returns to Punta Gorda Airport this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th. Gates open at 9 a.m. both days, with opening ceremonies at 11:30 a.m., and the show goes on rain or shine. Before the aerial performances begin, visitors can explore static aircraft displays, STEM activities at the Innovator’s Pavilion, vendors, and family entertainment.

One lineup change to note: the U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team will not appear due to a military scheduling change announced in September. The show must go on, and it will, with the MiG-17 fighter jet, the TA-4J Skyhawk, international aerobatic pilot Aarron Deliu, Red Bull athlete Kevin Coleman, Franklin’s Flying Circus, and the Chuters Jump Team. Organizers say the Saturday and Sunday performances will differ, so aviation fans have a reason to catch both days.

This is one of Charlotte County’s biggest weekends, and it’s all run by a volunteer nonprofit that has supported Southwest Florida charities since 1983. Organizers recommend arriving early and preparing for heavy traffic around the airport. So grab the sunscreen, bring ear protection for the kids, and leave a little extra time. Are you heading out to the air show this weekend, or watching the skies from your backyard?
