An 18-year-old from Dougherty County, Georgia who disappeared in late June has been found dead, and the case has taken a painful turn. Samuel Jackson left his home on June 26. After a months-long search that involved law enforcement and members of his community, human remains discovered in a wooded area were positively identified as Samuel.
His older brother, 23-year-old Jamal Jackson, has been arrested and charged with murder, concealing the death of another, and disposal of a human body. Police have not released how Samuel died, and investigators describe the case as open and active, meaning additional details could still surface as the investigation proceeds.
